Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder, was born on Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter the city she grew up in after her birthplace. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder is a self-described Jewish and descends from Ryder's Jewish father. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder along with her whole family relocated to Mendocino, California, when Ryder was only seven years old. Here, they did not have electricity. Television books were Ryder's only distraction for her time, and she became an avid reader. In 1983 when she was 12 years old, Ryder was accepted into the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Lucas was let go in 1986 and Ryder, then barely 15 years old, landed the role of a leading actress. Ryder was subject to bullying in high school. Her performing career, she thought that it would aid her. However, that didn't happen. But that didn't stop her making plans for her future. Beetlejuice the 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first major break. Ryder played roles that were successful in various films. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated in the Academy Awards. One of them for her role In The Age of Innocence.
