Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, raised in Wellington) is a Canadian actor from Canada. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Wellington and made her stage debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played her role in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 to be the Best supporting Actress. Anna Paquin's full title is Anna Helene Paquin. Born July 24th 1982 on the 24th of July 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was an Canadian native New Zealand actress. As as a young girl, she was awarded an Academy Award for best support actress. The role she played as the empathetic and curious young girl Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) brought her the award. Paquin was the main character in the film Fly Away Home in 1996 and also had a small part as Jane Eyre as just a young child. Paquin was in the role of Frankie Addams, a character in Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997 her character was the Spanish queen in a less prominent part. She played teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) and Almost Famous (2000). Also, she played the character of Polexia Aphrodisa.
